I began my teaching career over 20 years ago in Temple, Texas. After spending five wonderful years teaching 5th and 2nd grades, I moved back home to San Antonio. At that time I joined Harlandale ISD and have enjoyed every experience given while here. I first taught at Schulze Elementary, K-1 Multiage. I then became the librarian at Adams Elementary before moving back to Schulze Elementary as their librarian. Every position has offered huge growth opportunities and a chance to work with great educators.

My name is Tatia Allison and I am currently the librarian at Schulze Elementary. I was born and raised right here in San Antonio, and truly believe I am called to teach and therefore honestly enjoy my work. The idea of helping students build a love of reading and quench the thirst for knowledge is why I became a librarian. The excitement a student has while explaining a book they enjoyed is just one of the reasons I love my job.

My hobbies include reading (of course) and traveling (sometimes only through books).
